over for an 8 year old little girl we sponsor (purchased doll from the $2 shop) she opened it and thought it was lovely but put it on a shelf at home and carried the box around to play with. We had to explain that we want her to enjoy and play with the gift we give her. We are ver aware that we do not want to be seen to be out doing her parents so try to give her small inexpensive gifts that she will enjou and from time to time remember to give small gifts to Mum and Dad Too.
