I looked up the prices on the net, rang them as I was booking for 6 people in total some travelling on different dates. Given firm prices, had statements emailed through to me. I paid these statements IN FULL within 2 hours of receiving them.
Then I get a phone call nearly 2 days later saying "urgent I must pay another $232" as the taxes had risen on 3 flights. I disputed it as I had paid fully 2 days prior.
It went on and on and on - they were extremely hard to deal with. Bottom line is I believe they made the mistake right from the beginning. The taxes had already risen but they hadnt altered their prices.
I wrote a formal complaint to them - they refunded $50 odd dollars back as they had mucked up addition of taxes anyway but would not budge with the rest
Out of principle because they really "ticked me off" I lodged a formal complaint with consumer affairs.
They still will not budge. Consumer affairs have advised i should take it further with VCAT - but I dont know that i can be bothered.
They were charming and very good to deal with until this muck up occurred. I was P@(@ed right off because I got the invoice - paid in good faith VERY promptly and then this happened
I was told I would not receive any tickets until I paid the extra. So they had me !!!
Would never ever deal with them again. It was the way the whole thing was handled. Very poor customer service. I am not one to whinge - but they lied to me about different things and I just would not recommend them
