When we left last year I actually bought home nearly $400. No questions asked. The departure tax went up in early November last year and it was only that we went to confirm our flights that we were told by the garuda booking clerk otherwise we would not have known we also let friends of ours that were leaving in couple of days know as they had not been told either. The hotel where we were staying had also only been advised the same day as us. But a few people in the hotel that were leaving that night had no idea, one of them only had enought money for the old price and taxi !!!!
