Meanwhile, Jetstar's reputation for punctuality was boosted by yesterday's release of official figures showing its planes left on time more often than Qantas and Virgin Blue.
The on-time departure record for Jetstar flights averaged 84.1 per cent, well ahead of Qantas at 82.8 per cent and Virgin Blue's 82.1 per cent.
The industry average was 83.7 per cent, according to figures posted by the Government.
