i also went qantas from perth a couple of years ago i and my husband vowed and declared that never again, since then we have gone garuda the only thing is that the wait in melbourne is SH!!T so the next trip we go through singapore we were lucky enough to get a good fare at the travel expo in adelaide and the trip is actually about 2 hours less although we have to go the long way round.
hope fully there will be a airline out of adelaide at some stage we have a great airport but little choices of where we can travel to
