If looking to fill in an evening - try Jazz Cafe in Jalan Sukma. Free shuttle bus available from Waroeng Cafe in Monkey Forest St. Let them know in advance. Great music; cold beer; not bad food. We were in Ubud two weeks ago. Restaurants we enjoyed were: Batan Waru, Three Monkeys, Tutmak - very disappointed with Bebek Bengil (one of our favourites for many years!) As other posters have said, Ubud is just a place to chill out and do as much, or as little, as you wish. Enjoy - it's one of my favourite places on Earth.
