I adore Ubud there is so much to do and so many arts and so much culture to explore. You will especially enjoy this place if you are an art lover.

There are the following:

Musuem Puri Lukisan - A collection of Balinese Art is on show here. And there are lovely gardens and ponds.

Monkey Forest Road is lined with galleries, restaurants and hotels.

Puri Saren - Ubud's palace where you can visit and see traditional dance every evening.

There are many walking trails in Ubud. There is a ricefield walk which is about 6km long.

Go for lunch at Cafe Lotus the restaurant seating over looks a beautiful pond and faces Pura Taman Saraswati. There are detailed carvings and statues. The temple is normally closed but admission can be gained by enquiry at The Lotus Cafe.

Jalan Hanoman - Has Temples, shops, art studios and homestays.

Monkey Forest Sanctuary - Located on Monkey Forest Road. Is filled with monkeys and there is an important temple complex and there is a graveyard in there also.

Sentiwati Gallery Art by Women - The only gallery where you will find women's art displayed.
