I checked Seminyak Suites out in January and some friends of mine moved there from Kuta as they were very unhappy where they were and wanted to catch the first available plane out of Bali. Whilst they are certainly older they are extremely clean, the pool is sparkling, the staff very friendly and breakfasts were delicious as were other meals they ate whilst staying there.
They are very well situated about 5 minutes walk to KuDeTa and the beach. Also walking distance to lots of restaurants on Jl Laksmana. I would have no hesitation recommending them at all. By the way, my friends didn't want to leave Bali once they experienced Balinese hospitality at Seminyak Suites- their bad holiday experience was completely turned around!
