We stayed there 2 years ago, and found it to be a fantstic place. we stayed in the superior cottage which is a group of 4 units together close to the pool, each with private outdoor showers.
One big advantage of these cottage rooms is the free drinks at happy hour in the lounge and free use of internet. We spent the start of every evening in the lounge catching up with new friends before deciding where we would all go out for dinner. Also trying to fit in as many bintangs and coctails as we could in an hour, while sending emails of the days events home to freinds and family.
The superior rooms are almost identical, although they are a group of 8 units, 4 upstiars and 4 downstairs. but no outdoor showers. you may hear some footsteps from above. They are a lot further from the pool.
Our freinds last year stayed in the new high rise apartment at the back of the resort. The appartments looked great , all new and nice, but they got a lot of noise at all times of the day from people in the corridoors, and above and below them. The views of the ocean were blocked by the huge palm trees all through the resort.
Would definately recomend the mandira though, as the staff are brilliant and so freindly.
Hope this all helps.
have a great time
Mark and Heather
