We loved the place and loved how relaxed it was and it was leafy and green and the staff were fantastic. Each place has their own garden and the living areas and kitchen are all open plan and each bedrooms is air conditioned with its own bathroom. They are roomy and we loved it. Every person that stayed there in our group has re-booked to stay there again and the other Europeans staying there did so as well.
It is very cheap so you could stay an extra 2 weeks and around the corner is a warung where we sometimes bought take away fro under $1.00 a serve. It hit the spot after a day out when your tired!
Dont know if this is like what your looking for but I had a look at the Alam Shanti/Jiwa on the web and think Kumpul III is similar in style etc. It is set back from Jalan Legian so it is quiet and it has a large pool and lots of shade.
Prior to this we had only stayed at Hotels including the Niksoma and we would choose this everytime - we could spread out and relax - it was great!
