Over the last month or so, while researching accom for June this year, I both both experienced prices rises with some hotels, and not in others. When I questioned a 40% increase from 2006 with one place, they informed me it was because it was 'just after Bomb". Dont know about that, I think if the accom is well maintained and popular, why wouldnt they put their prices up? Its going, hopefully, (to some degree) end up in the hotels workers pocket.
But also, I have still been able to find some great bargains, prices really have not changed in 5 years.
Even say, at au$150 p/n, which is close to top end in Bali, its still a wonderfully cheap hol by Aus standards.Biggest increases I have seen have been the bigger type, Legian-Seminyak. Bali is popular around the world with tourists, it will only get dearer now IMO.
