Very briefly - we reluctantly returned home (Perth) yesterday afternoon (Garuda) from yet another (our 22nd) holiday in Paradise.
Flights were great - and on time - (flew Exec Class)- just had to add that!! Stayed at Bali Dynasty Resort.
I must congratulate BIMC who took care of two of our friends who were involved in a m/v accident at the airport on arrival. Thankfully their injuries weren't serious and after a couple of days were able to enjoy their stay (they're still there, lucky ducks).
The highlights of our holiday would have to be our usual visit to The Hope Children's Home, a visit to our friend's village in Tabanan (where we drank fresh coconut juice for the 1st time - yum) and a dinner cruise on the Bounty which was great.
Our favourite restaurant, this time, would have to be NERO'S - great service, delicious food etc.
Did the usual shopping - quite a few 'Nyepi Day sales' on so extra good value.
The renovations at Dynasty are pretty extensive, however, minimal disruption for guests.
Exchange rate is still high - Rp8300 - Rp8400 per $1
The weather of course was extremely humid and we had rain (bucket loads) some part of each day, but who cares ...
We left Bali on the 12.40pm flight amid preparations for Nyepi Day - wish we could have stayed but work commitments didn't allow. Hohum - roll on November.
Cheers, Cath :-)
