many many years ago for 4 months. Now we stay at the Sinar. I really don't want to see what they are going to build on that site, hopefully doens't upset the Sinar too much. Same thing has happened to my sisters house. She has lived in Padma Utara for easy 23 years out of the 30 years she has lived in Bali. We she first lived there the Mabisa was not even built. She lives right next door to the Mabisa and behind The melati apartments, both of these yukky places looking straight into her yard. And now the Mabisa is extending. Seems to me everywhere I stay is been swarmed by monstrosities. I just only want to stay somewhere small and friendly.
That big Balinese guy that you took the shoes over for and hugged you to death would have been Ketut and yes he has a tiny wife, but his son is going to be as big as Dad. Ketut has been in that area for years. I remember when staying at Nakula and Ketut would have only been about 11, he would go and buy us pizza from Il Parata.
They were the good old days before big hotels.
