They banned Enid Blighton books in the sixties for being both Racest and god forgive sexist in the promotion of homo sexuality (one of the main charactors was a girl who acted as a boy) Beginning of the thought police. They started the campain against Smokers at the same time its taken 45 yrs but they have almost got there Hooray for them. Now I see over the last few years a similar campaign to outlaw drinking same reasons blah blah blah. Curiosly enough the wowsers have started on the obesity kick in children now I suppose these are the ones that had sport banned in schools in case little jonney had his toe scratched playing hop sc0tch in the school yard. I suppose they can afford the personal trainers so they can do low impact training and the dietician to control theirs and little jonneys weight chalange.( we cant say problem it might be intimidating or non conductive to the fulfulment of his potential) The word police will get us.
Point is people I like goeing to Bali and Haveing a smoke at the table at dinner time or over a glass of beer in a bar makes me feel human and acceptable in normal society. I dont have to worry about the word police and the thought police I can have a joke with the waitress that in Australia would land me in Jail .
The one thing in Bali I have noticed is that smokers and Non smokers get along no one complains and there is no fuss . But that looks to be ending now . So I guess I will just have to go somewhere
else to have a quite smoke and enjoy a drink and a joke that may be alittle racest or sexist. God knows I cant do it in Australia .
