i just love Bali, My parents took me when i was 15 years old. And now im an adult with children and taking my daughter for the first time next week..... I have been about 6 or 7 times,
what makes me keep going back
1. The balineese people - just love them all
2. Laid back relaxed feeling you get when your there
3. Massages and shopping
4. Restaurants - Mei goreng, pancakes, spring rolls
5. Quality time i spend with my mum ( we go together )
Experiences i will never forget -
1. Ringing reception one night to tell them we have no hot water in the shower and they bring us a bowl of hot water !!!!! We expected someone to fix the hot water not bring a bowl of hot water...
2. I ordered an Ice coffee and got a glass full of cold black coffee.... mmmm i expected milky ice coffee with cream and icecream!!!!
3. Visiting the orphanage - a day i will never forget. Rewarding as we took them stuff but so so sad leaving all these beautiful kids.
4. Tour of Sanglah hospital - that was a real eye opener, we went to the maturnity ward and the burns unit even the morgue - freaky......
5. My sister had her wedding there - i was bridesmaid so felt very special and what better place than Bali.
