We returned from Bali yesterday. During this period we met up with friends who had booked into The Bounty. As they are mature, intelligent adults I can only ask - why?
They said the whole place was the absolute pits. Clean enough but run down and noisy with music blaring all night.
When we walked our friends back to the property after eating at Kori Restaurant (only thing Poppies 2 has to recommend it) there was a fight occurring between two drunken young tourist guys in the car park at Bounty. The security guys were having difficulty keeping it under control - the foul language was disgusting.
Our visit to Kuta that night reinforced what it has taken me 26 visits to Bali to realise. Kuta is a cess pit and the sooner people stop gravitating to it as the epicentre of Bali the better. The restaurants/shopping/facilities of Seminyak, Tuban and Legian (in some parts only!) outpoint the Kuta area completely.
