We have stayed there twice as the first time we really enjoyed it. The last time we stayed was in July 2006 so it was a while ago. On that last visit we found the rooms had become a little shabby since our first visit but they were still very comfortable with plenty of room and a great balcony. The pools were still top notch and the bar staff at the swim up bar were great. We had brekfast there every morning as it was included but it was always yummy and the food we ordered through room service was equally as nice. We ate lunch and dinner out mostly due to cost and already having a favourite resturant that we ate at every night.
Not once did we get hassled about drugs anywhere near the hotel, Just keep alert when walking along the street near the hotel as it is busy with both traffic and tourists and can get crowded. The market shopping is pretty good along this street especiall back toward the beach and there is a few good dvd shops aswell. All in all you have chosen a good hotel for a bunch of young people and the location is perfect for you.
The service from the staff at the hotel was great and the hotel in general is great especially for young people, so have a great time.
