i have been watching the prices for september school hols (19th sept. on) since the middle of last year and the prices had not been released until recently and jetstar are playing games in regards to being a discount airline (what crap unless you want to travel in off season to all destinations)which has always been the cheaper option with all airlines.
Their prices have risen dramatically over the last 2 years.
i recall k-mart doing the same thing after establishing themselves as a discount orientated place to shop.
we have booked with garuda for around $50.00aud more per person (after the latest increase in fuel surcharge) with full service and a much more friendly arrival time in bali.
The other upside is if you book for a departure prior to the 19th with garuda,their child age is 12 and under whilst afetr that date it is 11)
child airfares are 75% of the adult fare, unlike jetstar,so who's cheaper for families? and who is a discount airline?
bet when the recession hits and people don't travel as much the fares will reduce!!
