that most prices rise more than once a year for everything...why is it a shock that the cost of a holiday has gone up...so has most wage packets. Also a lot of hotels , villas etc here in Bali ran at a loss post the tragedies so now that things are picking up, they have to put up the rates. As to the Ramadan debate...Bali is chockers thru Idul Fitri, yes people do take their holidays here...to escape the chaos from the influx of Javanese going home for ther celebrations. Its yuk here but only for about 10 days...it seems everybody brings their car with them, we sat in traffic one afternoon from waterbom to the corner towards airport it took 1.25hrs!!! Most people that live here avoid going into Kuta/Tuban at all costs during this period. I forgot that day!!
