Read Friday's aviation section of the Australian before deciding to fly this airline. Two of their fleet (50%) had major situations at Christmas time one resulting in a PAN call and the other a MAYDAY call.
It appears the major problem was metal fatigue which I guess is not surprising given the planes are over 32 years old.
To their credit it was the skill of the crew that saved the day
