Good beach breaks out the front of the hotel, a raised terrace area under trees along the beachfront of the hotel gives you a view of the surf or hire sunlounges and umbrella on the beach (you can get cold drinks too).
Great restaurants in the area as well (even a pool table and surf movies at Seaside restaurant that'd keep the 16yr old happy)
