The suites are dotted all over the resort on the 1st floor. You would need to have your travel agent specify that you want a room closer to the pool and upon check in I suggest asking again, they do have a map of the resort there, so check this out to see where you have been placed.
We have stayed there 3 times and each time we asked for a room closer to the pool, but it was not actioned, in the end it did not matter as we hired scooters and where the rooms were, we could cut through to the parking easier!
