have to worry about getting lost and being as small as it is, I have found that most staff are usually aware of planes coming and going and the connections people are trying to make so they are more likely to be generous with people who are a bit late because of holdups with baggage or customs. Also, and I'm not sure if this makes any difference, but Airnorth is strongly connected to Qantas and therefore Jetstar so maybe they are more likely to cut some slack for people transitting between flights.
