Ain't perceptions or memories funny things. This is not the way I remember the lounge in 2006 and, most certainly, how I found it last Monday. True, the lounge is bright and inviting but the staff are not particularly friendly, nor do they display much of any other emotion, there is food available but it is not of a particularly high standard, varied or in any great quantities for the number that can be in the lounge. The drinks side of things i, at best, bloody awful. When we were there they had a small amount of scotch, cask red wine, beer and a couple of nondescript bottles of some weird brews. The biggest failing, at least for me, was a complete lack of any ice to cool down your drink. No announcements, of any kind are made to alert you to flight departures or delays. More comfortable than outside but not even close to being on a par with a QANTAS lounge. At least that is how we found it.
