The Dunn and Lewis Memorial Classic Surfing Contest was on in Ulladulla today. It is in memory o f 2 local boys that were killed in the Bali Bombing it has been running every year since the bombing. The money raised goes to the Dunn and Lewis Foundation which is building a complex in Ulladulla for the local youths. It will consist of a bowling alley, conference rooms and will cater for other sporting activities etc. It will be great for the area. Angry Anderson has also been involved raising heaps of money, some of you may have seen him on TV about it. The lady who started all of this is Gayle Dunn mother of Craig you was killed. There has been a post on the forum about this fountain previously.
Today there was probably about 80 contestants both Stand up surfers and body boarders.
My son Liam who is 13 won the Under 17's Bodyboarding. For a prize he got a new bodyboard, cash prize money and a hat. This is a great achievment for Liam as last year he came 8th.
We have had a bit of a winning streak this weekend. My other son Jye won his touch football grand final last night and got the trophy for the most consistant player.
So we are a pretty happy household at the moment.
Aonly one thing could make it better and that would be that we could leave for Bali tomorrow instead of in 3 months.
