If you are making a few days trip up that way you can also stay in Lovina and hire a car or driver and make your way to the office in Pemuteran for youe trip to Mengenan. We did this and had three days up that way. Also gave the chance to visit waterfalls,hot springs,Buddhist Temple(beautiful),dolphin trip etc in the Lovina vacinity.
Our day at Mengenan was excellant.We had a driver from Lovina then joined a boat that was going out for the day when we got to the departure area. You can also get a boxed lunch and drink for 25,000 rp to take on the boatat departure area as no food,drinks availalble otherwise.It is a great day out and the snorkelling/diving is great.
The price you pay to join a boat inc National Park entry etc and you can also hire snorkel gear there as well.
I am sure you will enjoy the experience.
