Well folks here we go....

Day 8.

I believe it is now Saturday 19th and some of the guys had to return to Australia... ha ha ha ha to them.

I had a relaxing day by the pool drinking a few cocktails with my wife and friends, although my wife managed to go shopping again.... I dont remember the priest saying anything about shopping at the wedding!!!

We all went to Sharkeys at Jimbaran Bay for dinner. Let me say this, the setting is equisite, the sunset is magical, the local kids playing is fantastic and my daughters took them down some plates of fresh fruit and they all played on the beach together, the food was great. We even brought some fireworks from the locals and had an impromptu show. The travelling band was wonderful and they do a great Elvis impersonation. It is worth venturing down that way for a meal if you are there, the scenery and setting is great.

Back to the Melasti for a sleep although still a few little cramps, nothing to worry about.

Day 9...

This is how a Sunday should be, if you are in Bali for the first time venture out into the streets for a walk and just talk to the locals, you will see what wonderful people they are (not like the earlier fool), we were walking for about 3-4 hours just talking, looking, getting lost, buying a few small things, all part of the wonderful Bali experience. We ended up for a nice walk along the beach and had lunch at Goodys as mentioned earlier, wonderful pasta and CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP. Go to the Circle K and have a Tiaramasu Conello ice cream, why we dont have them in Aus is beyond me.

Back to Melasti for a swim and rest. We were joined a few days earlier by another family from Australia who had to fly in late, they wanted to try Ribs so I said lket's go to Glory's...

Now remember earlier I said I would try the Rib's, well this is not the time, we duly turned up ordered our drinks, get the non alcoholic fruit punch, beautiful drink. Anyways afetr ordering our drinks we were promptly told "Miisstteerrr we havi no Ribbbsss...", oh Crap...

Anyway not really happy, however ordered a burger with the lot (needed a fix of western food), burger was great and then had a Mango Mousse for desert.. yummmoo my Bally Butt was definately gone by this stage.

Walked home through the short cut in 3 brothers lane, only takes 3-4 mins and lets you out next to Buddy Marleys tattoo parlour. The funny thing about Bali is that you always feel safe.

Ahhh that is how all Sunday's should be.

Day 10...

The big pools are fixed at the Melasti....... Bomb off the bridge time!!!!!

AFter a run and breakfast we decided to try Carrefour, so we hopped in a van and went.

Now this is how shopping centres should be!!!!!

The shop on the top floor is amazing, great great range of EVERYTHING and i mean everything, all foods fresh and packaged, do your self a favour and go through the fruit, meat and sweet section.

I managed to get my self a self serve salad and some fresh rolls, i needed something like that.... In the desert section I came across one of the Chefs who spoke with a French accent, being French I told him that if he was the desert Chef they must be good, he laughed and said Thanks, he then put me onto some deserts he baked, he even threw in a couple for free, YUMMY.. some Chocolate and fruit and nut concoction that was magic, also a few flavoured cakes for good measure.

If you need a Western food fix, go stock up at Carrefours it is a wonderful experience, althiugh you are unable to take any bags into there, you need to check them at the front. ANother thing, the place is so big, to do a price check they have workers on roller blades at the front to do them.

Also the Optical place across from the entrance free eye check, cheap cheap glasses done in approx. 2 hours. Nike Flexion frames and lenses about $130 Aus.

Went back to Melasti fell in the pool and just relaxed, went back to Goodys for more Pizza and Pasta for dinner, wonderful food althoiugh service was a bit awful tonight and they stuffed up a lot of peoples orders, not mine though!!!!

More later as I venture to Ubud markets tomorrow!!!!

And I am called Evil!!!!!
