I found animal status to be a deceptive thing to access at the safari park becasue really all the enclosures are so incredibly natural, habitat likened to their own country areas that its really hard to describe. I could not see any animals that were exposed to any negative aspects in fact YOU are going thru their territory so to speak on the safari bus - well thats how it feels. Anyway they all looked in good nick and when it comes to sedation i dont think so becasue if you looked at all the other similar animals in their areas they were also all lazying about and sleepy. Someone said they are sort of nocturnal (evening and early morns) anyway so they do sleep all day.
I wouldnt take the free shuttle as you would get there so late in day and will regret that extra hour or so of pleasure you loose, more so if you have kids i guess as the junior kiddyland is built but not the adult area.
sorry rambling on again
cheers Deb
