a new restaurant on JL Padma opposite JL padma utara.
it is a venture between a Balinese and an Italian, the decor is superb styled on colonial lines with an Italian/French shabby chique theme of furniture. A trishaw (beckat?) holds the menu for passers by to read. The menus are enourmous in physical size.

The ambience is delightful with excellent service providing surprisingly inexpensive delightful meals. I had a carbonara, asked for penne as I don't like it with spaghetti. My husband chose a traditional nasi goreng which he said was the best he has ever tasted.

We were given complementary bruchetta.

The only thing I found a little incongruous was the massive TV screen with music DVDs playing. I felt classical or light romantic music would be far better to suit the setting but I know some people like that so 'tis a personal preference.

My husband also said that the male urinal had been set incorrectly, I wouldn't know about that but the ladies loos were lovely.
Try it, you won't be sorry. Had a steady flow of people through the doors and is getting quite busy now.
