Due to a visa complication at the airport - I had to get on the flight with girls aged 3 and 6 years and 2 suitcases and NO HUSBAND. (Hubby was on euro passport back then and travel agent had not advised he needed visa BEFORE departure on not on arrival).
Anyway I HATE, HATE, HATE all forms of flying, but I did it. Got on that plane and the hosties looked after me with some nice wine and before I know it I was in Bali on my own with the girls.
I was nervous as anything - it had been 10 years since I had been to Bali and never with kids. But there was nothing at all to worry about. I flew through VOA and customs, went outside got my prepaid taxi and was at the hotel.
Now hubby could not come for 5 days as the indonesian consulate was shut with the offical over in the eastern states - arrrrrrrrrgggghhhhh.
I must say I really enjoyed the 5 days with me and the kids and had not bother at all - and trust me I am not great travelling alone.
You will be fine, once you land you will wonder what you were worrying about. Have fun!
