I think that the only problem with Mayang is that they appear from the outside (and even after a quick sortie inside) to be too good for Bali and therefore, in view of the bulk of shoppers with a mind-set on 'cheap' that Bali attracts, it must be a high-priced store and probably a rip-off.
Our first shopping experience in Mayang disproved this view as we bought a wonderful, small, carved elephant pendant for less than Aus$5. The manufacturing jeweller Herself frequents at home put a price on it for insurance purposes of well over 10 times that amount and, not really joking, offered to buy as many as we wanted to bring back from our next trip.
Alas on our next trip they did not have any but She has managed to buy something every time we walk past (and that's more than once each holiday) ever since.
When you go make sure you visit the upper floors and don't just look around the ground floor.
