Got home and Qantas who made the stuffup in the case sent me a $50 David Jones voucher.

I was also 11kgs over in checked luggage and no extra charge- I had paid in advance for 20 kgs extra before I left Oz and the staff at checkin in DPS we so fascinated and I was the first who they had served with advance excess that i got off with the 11kgs

I would fly with them again - especially if I pay peanuts- I am happy to get customer service from monkeys (oh dear - that's not too politically correct)
