worry so much re Jetstar. Seats are fine, but you're only on for 6 hours or so so who cares. Take a book and think about all the wonderful things you'll do when you get there. The flight is a means to an end, if Jetstar dates work then go for it. I haven't bought their food, I just eat before leaving Syd or Melb and then pack a couple of snacks. Also take my own travel blanket so don't buy their comfort pack.
