same religion. There are ways around it but you must both profess to be the same faith...if your fiance is Balinese he will not go against his religion so you'll have to convert. You can have a Balinese ceremony and then a "western ceremony" (just did this for a friend) but the legal ceremony will be at the Balinese (hindu) bit of the day. What we arranged was her buddhist ceremony (and legal bit) in the morning then had a bessing and a party for the westerners! It was lots of fun!
