And right now she is doing vacation work with a gold mining company just out of Darwin....she calls me every few days with all the happenings of the day....We are so pleased for her as she started uni here in Perth but wanted a more 'hands on course' so out of the blue she asked could she transfer to Darwin....and you know she has gone ahead in leaps and bounds....she has 6 months to go now and she is done.
My son is a mining engineer he is 26 and she is 22...so you can imagine dinner at our house....one blows up the ground and the other wants to save it....lol...all healthy stuff....We are so lucky that they are both great kids...good manners...and morals...I know that sounds biased from the Mum...but I generally believe it.
Darwin does sound really like a close community...we felt that when we were there....and...there is so much to do as well....we loved the cafe's and resturants....we actually had more fun there than we do most times here in Perth...
