we've had all different types, admittedly if the 14mth old had wanted to he could have got out of some of the cots but I think he usually was asleep when I put him in there and I got him straight out when awake. You would have to check with the Patra what cots they have, the Dynasty ones were definitely high rails but possibly not the others. I guess for piece of mind, if your not sure and can afford to take extra luggage, then you would definitely consider taking your own.
