Hi we just returned a few days ago and had Sunday night roast at Bali Aussie as it was recommended on forum along with Garden View.
Well sorry all, but it was disgusting - the absolute worst place we ate at in our 15 day stay.
It was 90,000 set price each for the meal which is quite high by bali rates and food was ok, nothing special - roast beef and pork carved by staff and dumped on your plate and I was given huge lumps of fat bigger than 2 mens thumbs and almost no meat. The cauliflower cheese they claimed to have had a very minimal amt of sauce over it (if any) and a few dollops of cheese here and there but not well made at all, they had beans and carrots n brocolli which were fine.
But the worst thing was the place in general. It is dump!!!
The toilets are disgusting, dirty, smelly and graffity all over the walls and doors and only one had a working lock, my 8 yr old got stuck in the mens toilet unable to get the lock opened so he was crying and upset. The service was just awful, and i was listening to the table next door who had about 15 on it and they were having trouble getting their requests understood as well.
We booked in advance but didnt need to as it was only half full, if that, and were asked to pay a deposit (over 200,000rp) and if it hadnt been for that we would have walked out. Also we booked for 7 and when we arrived they had us at a round table built for 4. They were not happy when we complained and then they just dragged another round table over so basically 3 of us sat on our own as round tables do not really fit together.
No welcome drink or cold towels that we had come to enjoy from other places some much cheaper than this one.
We were told it was a buffet from 6.30 onwards so we rocked up just after 7ish and we told that the meat would not be finished cooking for another 40mins !! The younger kids were already hungry so that didnt go down well.
It appeared that no one new what was happening or on offer and drinks were not included in that price. That staff seemed stressed and not cheerful at all and spent most of the time hanging off the end of the bar. I would have to suggest you give it a VERY big miss. I will be posting my JBR soon.
