Hi unfortunatily i didnt stay in the penthouse, but have viewed it a few times and i would jump at the chance to stay there, its beautiful, and the veiw from the balcony is breath taking, that view sums Bali up for me!! i love the apartments the staff are friendly and very helpful, i stayed there twice last year, and i am off there again in 2 weeks staying for 6 weeks. There is direct access to the beach down a little ally way, its not the most nice of walks to be honest, but it gets you there.
