It was an extremely unpleasant Bali related experience. Luckily I was with local friends who drove me back to the hotel. The driver was hopefully sober although I doubt it very much but I could not care less as I just wanted to go "home" before dying near my passport for proper identification of the corpse.

One (1) Bintang - a rather weak potion - made it almost impossible to walk and to see clearly. I was not having the drunk feeling - I was just over and out, a detached feeling. The headache the following day was massive. Obviously I survived. Gin and tonic is safer, the more the merrier.

Never leave the drinks unattended is the lesson learnt. Even in Bali there are vicious people, be they locals or tourists. And spiking can happen anywhere, probably there more often than in Bali.

Maybe I shall see you at the Ramada Bintang although I am not staying near there. I am sure I will find you near the pool bar. I shall be in Bali from the end of April till the middle of June. Please ask the bartender to dilute my lemonade with arrak.

Sorry for a rather private message on the BTF. I shall never do it again, I hope.
