We stayed at Puri Ayu last June for 6 weeks. When we arrived we were placed in one of the older self catering rooms, which personally i was not happy with. As soon as the new one bedroom apartments were finished we were the first in.
Split level, with just bedroom upstairs, bathroom kitchen and lounge down. Very modern and well appointed. Also very airy and spacious.
Puri Ayu is tucked in down a laneway. In the main street at the end of this laneway, you have a huge choice of restaurants, including a small grocery shop. Hardys is probably about a kilometre north, sometimes we'd walk, but we do drive a car.
The hotel is only a stones throw from the beach, and again some wonderful cafes and restaurants. Towells are the same as the big hotel next door, and if we felt like we wanted to be around a whole lot of people, we'd go there, and even use beach lounges.
We love this end of Sanur, great to get up early and go for walks, or go bike riding along the beachfront.
You are also very close to the harbour, and from of the most southernmost cafes, you can even watch the sun go down.
