Moved to Bendesa Hotel in Kuta. Opposite the old Matahari in Kuta. When I got there they tried to put me in a scabby room behind reception. It was no where near the quality of the one thy showed me. I asked if it was cheaper (not that I wanted it). No! I explained that I looked at a room yesterday and booked one and wanted one similar. He said I could have one for one night but that wasn't good either. I'm glad I stood my ground as I got a room and he said he would put the man coming in tomorrow somewhere else. It was above Enhay Café so there was a little noise from moving chairs but only in the morning and night when they opened and closed. There was very little noise from the lane. There was a large Dutch family there with a gorgeous part Balinese baby.
The room was quite big with 2 single beds a small table and 2 chairs. It was 200.000rp single. The pool is not big but nice. I like the location. Breakfast was a small plate of fruit, a choice of eggs (omelet, scrambled, boiled) with one piece of toast or pancake which was quite nice and tea or coffee.
I ended up staying there for 11 nights.

Out the back entrance is Enhay Café which I love. Great food at great prices. I love their Nasi Goreng Enhay style (15.000) and lemon juice. I also had fish and chips and the hamburger with chips which was delicious. The only thing missing is the beetroot. Great little place. Nice people too.
