I read the posts about people's worry on discounted tickets being related to past experiences with the collapse of AP and the loss of both tickets and refunds. My pov is if this is your worry, you are unlikely to lose your money as whilst the PER to DPS route may collapse the company would most likely not. Now, do I think Ozjet are great? Well I've flown with them for work and they are ok. The packages? Well I think the whole point of a buy one get one half price is that yes, two people must fly so I'm not sure what point you are trying to make there. And your worry about bits dropping off the aircraft? Well if you really are a safety conscious traveller I cant see how you can possibly consider flying Garuda. Or Qantas for that matter. But you obviously do, so, like the rest of us, you probably only take notice of what will reinforce your own already established pov.
