hi kerdi, i generally change about 20 or 50 aud into rupiah at the airport before i leave australia just so i don't have to worry about it when i get there, then i can leave customs and go to the hotel without the bother of getting money changed. It's not that much of a difference if you're changing a small amount.. I also grab 25 USD for the voa too, just easier than having to get change from aussie dollars, much simpler to hand over the 25 us dollars especially with the exchange rate not that bad these days.
You can organise your drivers over there, it's very easy, they are everywhere, but keep details of them off here if you have got them off here and contact when you get there. You wont miss out.
