Just returned Gold Coast/ Sydney/ Denpasar/ Brisbane on Jetstar and Garuda. What a hassle and added about $500 for two of us with overnight in Sydney. Never had a complaint about Garuda but planes are getting a bit tired. Comparing it to flying Brisbane/ Singapore/ Osaka last August on Singapore Airlines - who were fantastic. If I go to Bali again I will go ex Bris on Singapore Airlines. If you can't be bothered going into the city, the airport is a city itself. Heaps to do, plenty of places to eat, relax, shop. Its a great alternative and one I will explore.
