although we normally empty the fridge and fill it with our own drinks,the prices are dirt cheap anyway at hotels in Bali.
It's just a case of losing perspective in Bali as it is much cheaper outside the hotels than Australia for instance.
If you are reluctant to leave a credit card swipe at the hotel, offer a cash deposit of say ,100'000 rupiah.
if they require more at a later date , wait til they ask.
