wanted a credit card swipe or a deposit, so I think if you are worried about your card a cash deposit is a good idea.
We have always used our credit card with no problems, and not much worry, as they usually don't have much credit on them!! But if we did have a lot of credit on our cards I think I would feel a bit jumpy about using them, the bank might have to pay in the end, but it's your problem until it gets sorted out.
