if it is withing your allowable duty free amount, you should have NO problem.. but, THAT alcohol would almost always be in your carry on baggage. The original posting was referring to "X" marks on suitcases, and in many instances these marks might be there because there is an extra bottle secreted away, and 'they' want to look at it.
First, this is illegal in the real sense, (Unless you have no other alcohol and the stuff in the suitcase is actually your correct duty free allowance amount). One has to assume you are trying to "sneak' some extra in. There are 2 ways to best do this... either, get lucky and not be checked, or negotiate the best fee you can... as another poster says, for him, 6 bucks a bottle was good value.
