We went last year, probably around 8.30am maybe. It was pouring rain so the set-up was delayed a bit I think. Whilst there were stalls it seemed to be more markets for the locals with games, fairy floss, treats etc. It had a lovely feel, very much like a local fete, with lots of families enjoying the day.

They were also near where they left the ogah ogahs from the parade the night before so you can wander down and see what's left of them too. Agree with Frenchie that it did get busy later on but personally it was well worth a visit and looking forward to it again this year.
