The difference being that there are checks done on the info supplied to get an Australian visa,to try and stop people coming here and staying for work etc,which does cost money to run.Where-as in indonesia it is hand out for the money and thank you very much,without even saying that most times,and if you want to stay more than 30 days you do have to pay $60,plus postage costs to and from embassy/consulate or go in person.
