We have stayed at MBR about 6 times but only stay a couple of days at the beginning of our 4 weeks and then 2 days at the end. We think that breakfast is fine and no none of us have ever been sick while we stayed at MBR. But we do agree with most posters that the lunch and dinners are not the best. However I was amazed at the number of people having meals around the pool while we were there in November and did not hear any complaints.
And yes the pools have a smaller pool at the end that is shallow.
